Specific Skills:

The Purchasing Agent will manage all purchasing of flooring and bathroom materials and supplies for installations and retail. The Purchasing Agent coordinates his or her efforts with sales staff and Management in order to maintain the appropriate level of inventory. This individual will utilize expert knowledge to purchase goods and services at the most favourable price for Tile Tech Floor & Bath Solutions. The individual will be required to build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers. The Purchasing Agent coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services, such as raw materials and finished goods, and will assist the department in reviewing requisitions, and will confer with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.

Job Duties:

Responsible for procurement and purchasing activities on assigned projects/vendors
Prepares and reviews purchase orders
Proactively communicate with Sales staff, Project Management and other departments
Maintains manual or computerized procurement records
Create purchase orders using Sage Simply Accounting
Liaises with Quality Control to report defective or unacceptable goods or services
Ensures that all administration procedures are followed and executed in a professional manner
Maintains records of business transactions and product inventories

Requirements:

Post-secondary diploma and/or an equivalent certification in materials management or business administration
5+ years of experience in a similar role; preferably in the flooring and bathroom industry
Familiar with standard procurement concepts, practices and techniques
Good understanding of all methods of transportation and associated freight costs
Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
Strong work ethic and a positive team player
Strong problem identification and resolution skills
Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners and other third parties as required
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills
Experience with Sage Simply Accounting is considered an asset

As a Flooring & Bathroom consultant, your role is to drive sales by providing exceptional customer support to our valuable customers for their flooring and bathroom projects from inception to completion.

Job Duties:

Promote bathroom & flooring products and services
Educate customers about bathroom & flooring products and services
Educate customers about the design, layout & products needed to complete projects
Conduct sales activities
Build and manage customer relationships
Inform existing and potential customers about special offers
Follow-up with customers’ issues and resolve them in a timely and professional manner
Achieve individual sales targets to support overall department goals
Comply with all Company Procedures & Policies
Measure, draw and do up estimates for flooring & bathroom renovations
Complete all duties as assigned

Requirements:

College diploma and/or equivalent work experience
Previous sales experience within the flooring or bathroom industry is preferred
2 + Years of experience working in a sales driven environment
Computer knowledge is a must
Work schedule as determined by sales, customer, and business needs
Must be available to work on the weekends
Effective verbal and written communication
Valid driver’s license for initial measures and job site visits

FULL-TIME ESTIMATOR

Tile Tech Floor & Bath Solutions was established in 2003. We take pride in our exceptional level of professional performance and experience.

We are looking for a full-time Estimator to join our team in Brockville to provide a high level of customer service to our clients by providing accurate estimates for projects.

The ideal candidate will have a background in construction, engineering, or a related field and be able to analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to create cost estimates. The Estimator will also be responsible for researching material costs, labor costs, and other factors that may affect the project budget. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Analyze and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Prepare cost estimates for construction projects.
Perform quantity take-offs from blueprints and other documents (program supplied)
Prepare estimates for labor, materials, and equipment costs.
Measure & document jobsite information to be used to create an estimate
Develop estimates for labor productivity rates.
Provide input to project scheduling and design changes.
